No significant change in the weather is expected over the next 24 hours. It will remain cloudy with widespread and, in many areas, heavy rainfall. It will snow above 600-800 meters. By the end of the day, the rain in the southwestern regions will begin to taper off. Winds in the eastern half of the country will remain moderate to strong, while in the western areas, the wind will turn from the west-northwest and will be moderate.
The lowest temperatures in most areas will range between 4°C and 9°C, slightly lower (by 2–3°C) in the higher valleys of Western Bulgaria and the Pre-Balkans. In Sofia, the minimum temperature will be around 2°C. Maximum temperatures will range between 6°C and 11°C, slightly higher along the Black Sea coast, around 5°C in the capital city.
In the mountains, it will be cloudy with snowfall. The snow cover will continue to increase. Snowdrifts are expected on high mountain passes. There will be strong and gusty easterly and southeasterly winds. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 1°C, at 2,000 meters around –2°C.
