"From the beginning of 2025 until now, expenditures on personnel, social and health insurance payments, including pensions, have increased by 18.2% compared to 2024", announced Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova during today’s regular government meeting, reported BGNES.
To date, social and health insurance payments have seen a 12% rise, reaching 4 billion BGN — an increase of 161 million BGN compared to 2024. Pension expenditures have increased by 11.2%.
The data presented by Minister Petkova also indicates that capital expenditures have grown by approximately 2 billion BGN. According to Bulgaria’s Minister of Finance, any rumours that Bulgarians are becoming poorer or that incomes are declining are untrue.
