On Thursday, 9 October, cloud cover will remain heavy over the eastern half of the country. Many areas will see rain in the morning, but showers will weaken and stop during the day. In the west, the chance of rain is low and skies will gradually clear. Daytime temperatures will rise, reaching highs of between 14°C and 19°C, with Sofia experiencing temperatures around 14°C.
In the mountains, skies will be mostly cloudy with some snowfalls, and rain below 1,800 metres. Strong north-westerly winds are expected. Maximum temperatures will be around 7°C at 1,200 metres and around 2°C at 2,000 metres.
Along the Black Sea coast, morning rain will ease and stop throughout the day. Winds from the west-northwest will be moderate to strong at times. Maximum air temperatures will reach 16–17°C. Sea temperatures will be between 18 and 20°C, with waves of 2–3 on the Beaufort scale.
