The campaign to enroll students in the Bulgarian School in São Paulo for the 2025/2026 school year will continue until October 15, its management told BTA.

“In the current school year, the school will continue to provide education in the Bulgarian language, literature, geography and history of Bulgaria, as well as additional classes in Bulgarian folklore,” said the school’s head Mihail Krastanov.

The training applies to children in the preschool preparatory group, to students from grades 1 to 12, and to prospective students who must take an exam for a certificate of proficiency in the Bulgarian language or plan to continue their higher education in Bulgaria. The educational process is adapted to the programs of the Ministry of Education and Science.

“Both the training, and all textbooks, aids and other educational materials are free for all children and young people enrolled in the school. Along with the classes, we also organize thematic creative workshops, as well as celebrations to mark holidays and significant dates in Bulgarian history,” said Mihail Krastanov. He added that the current school year will be more special for the Bulgarian School in São Paulo, because the first class of high school graduates will graduate.

The Bulgarian School in São Paulo is the only Bulgarian educational institution in Brazil. It was founded in 2009 with the initial idea of offering a Bulgarian language course and the opportunity to study for Bulgarians from different emigrant waves, as well as children from mixed marriages from all states of Brazil and all of South America.
