Weather forecast for 23 October

Light rainfall is possible in southern Bulgaria, warming continues

On Thursday, minimum temperatures will range between 6 and 11°C across the country. Along the Black Sea coast, they will reach 13 to 16°C, while in Sofia they will drop to around 7°C. In the morning, visibility will be reduced in some low-lying areas and valleys due to fog or low cloud. During the day, variable cloud cover will spread across the country, becoming thicker over the south where light rain is expected. Temperatures will continue to rise, with daytime highs between 18 and 23°C. In the capital, they will peak at around 20°C. Overnight into Friday, cloud will increase from the west.


Along the Black Sea coast, there will be scattered cloud, with thicker cloud cover over the southern coast where light rain is possible. A moderate south-southwesterly wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will range from 19 to 22°C. Sea temperatures will be between 17 and 19°C, with a sea state of 2–3.


In the mountains, cloud will be scattered, mainly over the southern massifs, with light rain in some areas. Winds will be moderate, occasionally strong, from the south-southwest. Maximum temperatures at 1,200 metres will reach around 14°C, and at 2,000 metres around 8°C.


On Friday, a westerly wind will bring a significant increase in cloud cover, with rain spreading from west to east across the country. Minimum temperatures will remain relatively high, ranging from 9° to 14°C in most areas. Maximum temperatures will range from 16–17°C in the north-western regions to 24–25°C in the south-east.
