For the third consecutive year, Karin Dom – Varna is organizing the charitable initiative “Ivan Stanchov Awards” in memory of the Bulgarian diplomat and founder of the organization, Ambassador Ivan Stanchov. On October 23, awards will be presented for responsible business, institutions and personal contributions to the future of children.

In 1996, Bulgarian Ambassador to London Ivan Stanchov established a foundation to support children with special needs. He transformed his family home in the Sea Garden of Varna into Karin Dom, named after his cousin with cerebral palsy. There, he gathered a small team of specialists who, with the help of colleagues from the UK, studied the most modern therapeutic methods. Every year, the foundation provides professional services and therapy to over 400 children and families from across the country.

The evening will begin with a discussion on the power of philanthropy, volunteering, and building an engaged community that stands behind meaningful causes. During the event, companies, initiatives, institutions and individuals will be recognized for their contributions to charity and the future of children.
