Cabinet to reallocate security service cars to President’s administration

The Council of Ministers has proposed transferring vehicles from the National Security Service (NSO) to the Presidential Administration through a legislative change, Bulgaria National Radio reporter Tsvetelina Stoyanova reported. This would not put a strain on the state budget, as the costs would be covered by adjustments between the two institutions.

Earlier in October, the National Assembly decided that the NSO would no longer provide transport for the Presidential Administration. The legislative amendments were introduced by Kalin Stoyanov of DPS-New Beginning.

In response, President Rumen Radev said that, as an act of solidarity, he would use his personal vehicle in cases where staff from his administration are forced to rely on their own cars for official duties.
