European and world champion with volleyball team of Bulgaria continues her career in the USA

"Welcome to The U, Denitsa 🙌. From Bulgaria, the middle blocker joins us for the fall of 2026!" - with these words the volleyball club of the University of Miami welcomed its new addition - Bulgarian Denitsa Angelova.

She won the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Girls' U19 World Championship and the European Championship for girls under 18 in 2024 and will continue her career in the USA, sportal.bg writes. The 18-year-old national player, who competes for CPVC Volley (Sofia), will continue her studies and sports career at the University of Miami, with a full sports scholarship. The 192-centimeter tall player will join the prestigious volleyball program of the Miami Hurricanes - one of the most competitive teams in NCAA Division I.
