Bulgaria’s GDP is expected to grow 3% this year, the European Commission said in its Autumn Economic Forecast, as reported by BTA. The projection marks an upgrade from the 2% growth rate estimated in the Commission’s spring outlook.
The expected GDP expansion for 2026 has been revised down to 2.7%, though this still represents an improvement on the spring forecast of 2.1%. The Commission expects Bulgaria’s economic growth to slow to 2.1% in 2027.
It also forecasts that EU-harmonised inflation in Bulgaria will reach 3.5% in 2025, accelerating to 3.7% the following year.
