GERB will offer Christmas bonuses for pensioners in the amount of 120 lev (61.36 euro), party leader Boyko Borissov said on the sidelines of parliament. According to him, funds for pensioners will be found in the state budget.
The money will be for pensions up to the poverty line, Boyko Borissov said, quoted by BTA. He added that he had discussed the topic with his colleagues from other political parties and that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov was present at the meeting.
In a letter to the Minister of Finance, Temenuzhka Petkova, the leader of “DPS-New Beginning” Delyan Peevski insisted that the government should provide Christmas bonuses of 110 levs (56.24 euro) for the elderly.
