The panoramic platform “The Peak,” a beloved spot among tourists in the Rhodope Mountains, has been renovated. On the initiative of the “Krepostta – Mogilitsa” Tourist Association, the facility - located at 1,351 meters above sea level - was repaired and given a fresh coat of paint. The trail leading to the platform was also thoroughly cleared for a better and safer visitor experience, bgtourism.bg reports.

Built in 2020, the structure is located near the picturesque Rhodope village of Mogilitsa and offers sweeping views of some of the mountain’s most impressive landscapes. The last meter and a half of the platform is made of glass, creating the sensation of flying above the slope and revealing unforgettable vistas toward Arda Peak, Mount Golyam Perelik, and the Snezhanka Tower. Visible from the platform are also the villages of Arda, Borikovo, Chereshkite, Turyan, as well as much of the Pamporovo resort. On especially clear days, you can even see the Greek part of the Rhodopes.

Access to the platform remains possible via two routes. Visitors can hire a jeep from the center of Mogilitsa or choose the hiking trail beginning at the Roman “Wide Bridge” near the village of Borikovo.
