I expect that in Sofia, the parliamentarians from the member states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will make forward-looking decisions that will support cooperation and the development of the countries in the Black Sea region. This was noted by the Chairperson of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, during a meeting with PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev.

The guest is in Bulgaria in connection with the upcoming 66th General Assembly of the organization, which will be hosted by the National Assembly from 23 to 25 November 2025.

During a meeting in September between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, and PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev, the main focus was the first-ever simultaneous chairmanship of both the executive and parliamentary dimensions of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, which Bulgaria is assuming through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Assembly.
