Nikolai Popov - the father of 12-year-old Siyana, who lost her life in a heavy road accident, handed over to the Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Cassation Galina Zakharova a request from over 22 thousand people against corruption in the judicial system and for the resignation of Zakharova herself.

This happened at a conference on the occasion of the 145th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Court of Cassation. The topic of the forum is the verdicts of the People's Court against magistrates.

Popov was also accompanied by parents of other children who lost their lives in road accidents. He asked to hand over the petition to Zakharova even before the start of the forum. The petition protests the lack of dialogue, the slow court trials and the scandalous verdicts in traffic accident cases and called the Supreme Court of Cassation "the politburo of the judicial system."
