On March 10 Bulgaria marks with various initiatives the 73rd anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews. The memory of the victims of the Holocaust was honored with a commemorative ceremony in front of the monument of Bulgarian politician Dimitar Peshev, who prevented the deportation of Bulgaria’s 48,000 Jews in 1943.
