Number of Bulgarians travelling abroad and of foreign nationals visiting Bulgaria increases

The National Statistical Institute reports that the number of the Bulgarian citizens travelling abroad and of the foreign nationals visiting Bulgaria has increased in March 2016, as compared to the same period last year. This was mainly due to the increase in the passenger flow to and from the EU member states, NSI further informs. The number of Bulgarians travelling abroad has risen by 11.4%. Highest increase was registered in the number of people travelling to France (66.1%). Meanwhile, the number of the foreign citizens visiting Bulgaria saw a 6.6% increase. 45.5% of all foreign citizens who travelled to Bulgaria were citizens of EU countries.
