Orthodox Church marks Pentecost

Photo: library

The Orthodox Church marks on June 19 one of the biggest religious feasts- Pentecost. The feast is always marked on the 50th day after Easter. The Pentecost is based on the New Testament, where it refers to the occasion of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. His Holiness Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte served a solemn liturgy in Holy Trinity Church in Sofia on occasion of the Pentecost.
