In 2015 the poverty line in Bulgaria amounted to EUR 164 per person per month, the National Statistical Institute informs. A total of 1.586 million Bulgarian citizens, or 22% of the whole Bulgarian population, fell below that poverty line. The poverty line increased with 0.6% as compared to the previous year.
