On the second day of his working visit to Brussels, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Jens Stoltenberg thanked President Radev for Bulgaria’s commitment as a valued ally, making many important contributions to collective defence, for providing ships to NATO patrols in the Black Sea and as a partner with a key role in the security of the region through contributions to NATO’s presence in Kosovo and support for the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans.

The Bulgarian President on his part stated that for Bulgaria, NATO continues as an organization that is essential to defending the security of its members, as well as consolidating all efforts in the fight against international terrorism, human trafficking and smuggling of illegal immigrants.
