Air pollution norms exceeded across Bulgaria

Across Bulgaria, norms of air pollution with fine dust particles have been exceeded. The heaviest pollution for the past 24 hours was measured in Sofia – with values exceeding the norm 7 times. Valeri Serafimov, director of a department at the Environment Executive Agency has said that measured fine particle concentrations are normal for the season due to the massive use of solid and liquid fuels for heating under harsh meteorological conditions.
