The Easter for Everyone national charity campaign organized under the auspices of Bulgaria’s Ombudsman Maya Manolova and held in partnership with the Bulgarian Orthodox Church started today with a church service held at St. St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Sofia. Bulgaria’s Patriarch Neophyte gave his blessing to the initiative directed to the poorest Bulgarian citizens- the pensioners. In Patriarch Neophyte’s words, the campaign was completely in the vein of the Christian values and would help the elderly Bulgarians celebrate Easter, the greatest Christian feast.
