European Investment Bank opens office in Sofia

Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) opened an EIB office in Sofia, with wishes for good projects in Bulgaria that will also benefit the EU.

At the official ceremony Prime Minister Boyko Borissov stated that he expected the bank to give Bulgarian businesses its support for projects under the Juncker plan and to offer consultations for future concessions. Over the past 25 years the EIB has supported numerous projects in the principal sectors in Bulgaria; in 2016 alone it signed agreements worth a total of 467 million euro.
