A big fire broke out in the region of Kassandra, Chalkidiki. Most hotels there are full of Bulgarian tourists who came out to watch the efforts to put out the fire from the shore. A strong wind blew clouds of smoke to different parts of Chalkidiki.
The authorities cut off access to the area and vehicles were rerouted. No tourists were evacuated and the firefighters cut off the fire path.
