Scientists of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences protest

More than 100 people gathered to protest in front of the building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences on Thursday and black flags were waived.

In this way, scientists express their dissatisfaction with what they say is insufficient financing for the next year, as well as the low salaries. They warned that if this attitude of the government continued, the academy was doomed to close doors and young scientists would leave the country en masse. Bulgarian scientists added the budget subsidy envisaged for 2018 actually meant liquidation.
