Prime Minister Borissov: Relations with Turkey are priority of Bulgarian foreign policy

At a meeting in Sofia with Turkey's Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov confirmed that the stable development of relations with Turkey was a priority of Bulgarian foreign policy.

Borissov and Çelik assessed highly the efforts of both sides to deal with migration flow. It was reported that the EU-Turkey Agreement had a positive effect on the decline of the number of illegal migrants entering the EU. The two pointed out that there were opportunities for further development of bilateral relations in the sectors of energy and energy infrastructure, investment, livestock, transport, tourism.
