Saudi Foreign Minister on visit to Sofia

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has discussed in Sofia with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir ways to achieve long-term stability in the Middle East and to encourage political dialogue and understanding in that region.

As potential spheres of furtherance in bilateral relations the sides have identified fighting terrorism and extremism, defense and security, communication technologies, agriculture and tourism.

Rumen Radev has said that there is a big untapped potential for joint projects in science and education.

Later, during a meeting of Minister Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, the two exchanged views on international issues related to security and migration. Borissov has voiced expectations that specific arrangements will be made for the future visit of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the preparations of which, the two countries have been working actively.
