Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen discuss situation in Balkans

At a meeting between Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Austrian President Alexander van der Belen, in the framework of his official visit to Sofia, the two discussed the situation in the Balkans and prospects for the countries in the region to achieve stability, transport and digital connectivity, as well as economic growth.

The topic is a priority for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU and is also in the focus of the upcoming Austrian Presidency. Opportunities provided by the Danube Strategy as an instrument for promoting economic growth and relations between the countries have also been discussed.
