Bulgaria’s National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution to instruct the government to discuss the so-called Mobility Package proposed by the European Commission and adopt a position in support of the demands, the rights and the interests of the Bulgarian carriers. According to the motifs of the decision, the proposed amendments to the so called Mobility Packages 1 and 2 place restrictive regulations which do not take into consideration the specifics of the transport sector and even violate the fundamental principles of the EU for free movement of people, goods and services. Recently, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov promised to discuss this topic with the French President Emmanuel Macron and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
