Antonio Tajani welcomes successful progress of Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of EU

European Parliament President Antonio Tajani, who is in Sofia for the EU-Western Balkans Summit, has held a bilateral meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

The PM told Tajani he expected the EU inclusion of Western Balkan countries to continue to be a priority policy after the end of the Bulgarian presidency. The President of the European Parliament congratulated Borisov on the successful holding of the presidency so far and welcomed Bulgaria's work aimed at focusing on the Western Balkans.

Tajani reaffirmed the commitment of the European Parliament to support the European perspective of the countries of the region, to promote dialogue between them and to support carrying out necessary reforms.
