Parliament approves updated draft for acquiring new patrol ships

The National Assembly has approved the update of the draft, submitted by the government, regarding the acquisition of a multifunction module patrol ship for the Bulgarian navy.

The draft was submitted by the cabinet at the beginning of the month and envisages the purchase of two ships with the purpose of achieving interoperability of the Bulgarian navy with the other NATO and EU countries.

The update raises the maximum estimated value of the project to 984 million Leva /503 million euro/.
