Traditionally, friendly relations between Ukraine and Bulgaria have had a sound basis. These are our deep cultural, historical and linguistic ties, as well as the presence of the largest Bulgarian diaspora that has historically developed abroad - the Ukrainian, which includes more than 200 thousand Bulgarians.

This was what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said during an official ceremony for awarding the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria, Mykola Baltaji, with the Order of the Madara Horseman 1st Degree.

The high distinction is given for the merits of the diplomat for the consolidation and development of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine at the end of his mandate in this country.
