Prime Minister Boyko Borissov visits Ukraine

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is visiting Ukraine today and tomorrow.

Boyko Borrisov will meet with the President of Ukraine and take part in the celebrations of the 160th anniversary of the G. S. Rakovski Bulgarian secondary school in Bolhrad. Vice-President Iliana Iotova will also be taking part in the celebrations.

Bulgaria’s ethnic presence in the Ukrainian part of Bessarabia goes back to the Middle Ages. Bulgarians are the third biggest ethnic group in Odessa after Ukrainians and Romanians. In the region of Odessa, Bulgarians have founded a number of villages.
