USA invested in Bulgaria nearly EUR 2.25 billion between 1990 and 2016

Between 1990 and 2016 the USA invested in the Bulgarian economy nearly EUR 2.25 billion (5.7% of all foreign investments in this country). The USA is Bulgaria’s 6th biggest foreign investor, a report of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria about the volume of the American investments shows. The American investors focus mainly on the processing industry, information technologies, trade and agriculture fields. 28,000 Bulgarians are employed at American companies. An insurance company is among the leading US investors in Bulgaria. It employs 500 Bulgarians who work on 4 languages. The biggest US investments were made in Sofia, Razgrad, Stara Zagora, Varna and Dobrich.
