The winter mountain resort Bansko was named for the 6th consecutive year Bulgaria’s best ski resort at a solemn ceremony at the World Ski Awards held in Kitzbühel, Austria. Bansko, situated in Pirin Mountain, placed among the best twenty six destinations on the planet. 208 top locations from 5 continents took part at the online competition which lasted for sixteen weeks. Over 2 million people from 143 countries participated at the voting. The official opening of the ski season in Bansko will be held on December 15.
