US Embassy: We look forward to further strengthening strategic partnership with Bulgaria

In a special statement, the US Embassy has welcomed the decision taken by the National Assembly to start negotiations for Bulgaria's acquisition of new F-16 Block 70 aircraft by Lockheed Martin.

"The U.S. Embassy welcomes the decision today by Bulgaria’s National Assembly to initiate negotiations to acquire new F-16 Block 70 aircraft from Lockheed Martin. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our strategic partnership with our NATO Ally Bulgaria,” the statement reads. F-16 Block 70 is one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in NATO's inventory and offers amazing technical capabilities to the Bulgarian Air Force, Lockheed Martin said.
