The meeting of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov with the Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev, who is on a visit to Sofia, has started, the government's press service announced. The two discuss development of cooperation in various sectors, infrastructure and transport projects, as well as the implementation of the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement between the countries.

Bulgaria will call on Brussels for zero tax rates in trade with the Republic of North Macedonia. This was what Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said after meeting with his counterpart Zoran Zaev in the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

PM Borissov reported that the trade between the two countries has reached 605 million euros. It is expected that after the EC approved the decision to lift customs fees between the two countries, trade would increase to a billion euros.

Earlier in the day, in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Macedonia, the ministers of culture of the two countries, Boil Banov and Asaf Ademi, signed Cooperation Program between the two ministries for the period 2018-2021. Previously, the two ministers laid wreaths and flowers at the monument of prominent national liberation figure Gotse Delchev in Sofia on the occasion of the 147th anniversary of his birth.
