Karlos Nasar wins gold medal at 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships in Las Vegas

Bulgarian Karlos Nasar won gold medal in the 73 kilogram category with a total of 291 kilograms at the 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships in Las Vegas (USA). The solver went to Asadbek Narimanov  (a total of 287 kg). Amagiak Misakian (Greece) finished third with a total of 272 kilograms. Last year Karlos Nasar became a European Champion in the 69 kilogram category at the U15 event. The Bulgarian athlete placed 7th at the European Weightlifting Championships in 2017. Two more Bulgarian weightlifters are to take part at the 2019 Youth World Weightlifting Championships in Las Vegas. Georgi Yochev will compete in the 89 kilogram category and Stefcho Hristov will take part at the 102 kilo category.
