For a second year Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva hosted an official dinner commemorating the Jewish holiday Pesach.

“In times when, regrettably, we are seeing a growing nationalism and acts of xenophobia, we need more initiatives such as this,” Ekaterina Zaharieva said addressing the attendees – Bulgarian public figures and representatives of the diplomatic corps, of the Jewish community and the Catholic Church, the Grand Mufti. She pointed out that Bulgaria is now a full member of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance which shows that the Bulgarian government, the Bulgarian people and society have chosen to take their place among the countries which stand up to hatred and racism.
