The Bulgarian cabinet changed the regulations related to the issuance of Bulgarian identity documents. The applications for identity cards can now be sent online to the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior without a digital signature. The passports will be issued quicker, if the application is submitted at the diplomatic and the consulate representations of Bulgaria abroad. The Bulgarian citizens will have the opportunity to receive personally their Bulgarian documents abroad through a licensed provider of postal or courier service. The procedure for issuing a temporary passport by the diplomatic and consular representations is also simplified.
