Bulgaria’s unemployment reached record low of 3.7%, Eurostat reports. In November 2019 a total of 125,000 Bulgarians were jobless. One month earlier (October 2019) the number of unemployed was 126,000 and in November 2018 there were 159,000 jobless Bulgarians. Unemployment levels are at their lowest since 1995 when official statistics was given for Bulgaria for the first time. Youth unemployment is 7% as compared to 10.7% registered in November 2018. Bulgaria is the EU country with the 7th lowest unemployment rate and among the 17 EU members with unemployment rates lowest than the EU average (6.3%).
