Employers call for bigger support

60,000 businesses have stopped working because of the crisis. Only 228 of them requested assistance under the scheme that provides for 60% of the salaries of the staff to be paid by the state and 40% by the employers. The Association of Bulgarian Employers' Organizations calls for the 60/40 scheme to be overhauled. The money should be transferred directly to the workers' accounts. During this period, no social insurance contributions should be paid, but time should be as counted contributory service, nationally represented business organizations said.
