TUs say government’s social and economic measures are effective

The leaders of the two biggest trade unions in Bulgaria – the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria and Podkrepa labour confederation  Plamen Dimitrov and Dimitar Manolov, discussed, at a meeting with PM Boyko Borissov, the social and economic measures taken by the government in support of workers and businesses for the duration of the state of emergency introduced in the country over Covid-19.

The trade union leaders pointed out that the measures taken by the government have been working and giving results. Stating that the actions for coping with the social and economic consequences of the pandemic will continue, PM Borissov said he expected the trade unions to help find the best solutions.
