42 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the past 24 hours as 21 of the new patients have been hospitalized. The total number of proven coronavirus cases is 825. Out of them 646 are active cases, the National Headquarters reported.

19 are the newly recovered people, which makes the total number of recovered coronavirus patients reach a total of 141. Three died and the total number of deaths has reached 40 people.

Entry and departure from Sofia of all passenger vehicles has been banned from April 17 until second order. The lockdown of the capital city and the ban to leave it were approved by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. The reason is the alarming increase in traffic to the countryside for the Easter holidays at the backdrop of the epidemic.
