Hotels struggle to survive by offering quarantine packages

Photo: library

Hotels in Sofia have started offering rooms to people under quarantine instead to tourists. The practice was first introduced in the capital city, but entrepreneurs in Varna and Burgas are also interested in the idea.

A week of quarantine in a hotel costs about 350 euros, a hotelier has told the Trud newspaper. The price includes internet access, cable TV, three meals a day with an option to choose the menu. Daily shopping orders are also accepted. During the stay, guests do not leave the rooms and police can check them for compliance with the quarantine rules.
