Bulgaria marks 117th anniversary since death of Gotse Delchev

On May 4 we mark the 117th anniversary of the death of the Bulgarian national hero Gotse Delchev. He was an important Bulgarian revolutionary figure,  leader and ideologist of the Bulgarian Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Committees known today as Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization. He is revered as national hero in both Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. Gotse Delchev died in a skirmish with Ottoman troops in 1903
