The Bolhrad region in Ukraine’s Odessa district populated mainly with ethnic Bulgarians will retain its current borders and will not be divided within the frameworks of the planned administrative-territorial reforms, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said in a phone conversation with Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva. Yesterday, the two ministers held a phone conversation as well and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Kuleba promised to check the matter. Ministers Zaharieva and Kuleba agreed to keep in touch until an acceptable solution is reached.
