The specialized criminal court has acquitted businessman Ivo Prokopiev, former finance minister Simeon Djankov and economy minister Traicho Traikov. They were accused of causing the state damages of millions of euros during the sale of a 33% state-owned stake in electricity distribution company EVN.

Through the stock exchange transaction, the shares were sold for EUR 47.55 million with an initial evaluation of EUR 39.88 million.
