The National Representation of Student Councils in Bulgaria has condemned the aggression used by police on July 10 against peacefully protesting students. There was illegal use of force by law enforcement authorities that exceeded their powers and endangered the lives of two students by physically abusing them, the Student Councils write in an official position. They have demanded an investigation into the case, identification and dismissal of policemen who beat protesters.

On July 12, the Interior Ministry announced that it would investigate the case and the results would be known in a month.
