GERB party has clear arguments why it must remain in power: Toma Bikov

The elections must not take place earlier because in the months to come there will be a high economic and social price to be paid by the whole of society.

These are the arguments of the ruling majority adduced by GERB party MP Toma Bikov, talking to the BNR. In his words, without a parliament, no single economic or social measure can be voted in the current coronavirus crisis. According to Toma Bikov a caretaker cabinet will mean “taking power in a manner that is not legitimate”, while “the president is part of the attempt to trigger a political crisis”. What is more, at a time when the money from the EU recovery funds is to flow into the Bulgarian economy, a caretaker government will have to find its bearings, Toma Bikov said.
