The average age of the Bulgarian nurses is 55 years. Only 60% of them are in active age. 19.7% are pensioners and another 19.64% are about to retire soon, the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Association of Health Professionals Milka Vasileva told this country’s Minister of Health Professor Kostadin Angelov. The Health Ministry is to look for ways to increase revenues in the health system in 2021, Minister Angelov said at the meeting. Kostadin Angelov has promised to involve the Bulgarian Association of Health Professionals in the negotiation of the National Framework Agreement with the National Health Insurance Fund.

Representatives of the Health Specialists Syndicate who are protesting in front of the Health Ministry building voiced discontent with the fact that they were not allowed to attend the meeting, BNR informs.
