A first-degree warning for dangerously high temperatures remains in effect in almost all regions of Bulgaria this Sunday. In some parts the maximum temperatures are expected to reach as high as 38 °C.

The dangerous weather warning does not apply only the region of Sofia city, Pernik, Smolyan as well as Bulgaria's Black sea coast.

High temperatures and dry weather continue to create conditions for rapidly growing fires, as the risk is highest for the eastern parts of the country.
Fires were registered and extinguished in the Plovdiv region. In the vicinity of Sliven, firefighters have located and limited the spread of a raging fire and the flames are expected to be extinguished by the evening.
